Front Mission 5: Scars of the War ( ) - Sequel to the localized Front Mission 4. Namco x Capcom ( ) - Developed by Monolith Soft, the developer of the Project X Zone games, which are a follow-up to Namco x Capcom, and most of the Xeno games. Sakura Wars: In Hot Blood ( ) - Remake of the first Sakura Wars game. Seven: Cavalry Troop of Molmorth ( ) - Received a follow-up titled Venus Braves, which was also Japan-only. Shadow Tower Abyss ( ) - Sequel to the localized Shadow Tower, and both were developed by FromSoftware, the developer of the Souls games. Super Robot Wars Z ( ) - First in a sub-series (Z series) of the larger Super Robot Wars series. Tales of Rebirth ( ) - One of the few Tales games to not have been released outside of Japan. Most of these games function as tactical RPGs, with the exceptions of Shadow Tower Abyss, Shining Wind, and Tales of Rebirth, which are all action RPGs. A unique case is Namco x Capcom, in which there is tactical movement, but actual attacking is done in the style of an action RPG. Other RPGs that particularly stood out to me include Sacred Blaze, in which the player is a deity and can choose what abilities the heroes get. ![]() Upvoted This thread is archived New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast Sort by best level 1 2 points 3 years ago Cool list I didnt know most of them, thank you for the effort. Its worth noting that Front Mission 5 (a fantastic entry in the series, vastly superior to FM4 IMHO) can be found online translated to English. Namco X Capcom is essentially a prequel to the Project X Zone games on 3DS. RPGs are among the toughest games to do fan translations, due to the sheer amount of text you have to work with. Only 2 of the games in the list have fan translations, to my knowledge. Continue this thread level 1 0 points 3 years ago edited 3 years ago No Venus and Braves Tales of Destiny 2 or Tales of Destiny Directors Cut Im pretty sure I have a few others when I get to look at my library. Around half of the Tales games didnt get released outside of Japan from the PS2PSP era and earlier. Tales of the World Narikiri Dungeon trilogy on GBA, the Strategy RPG Tales game (Summoners Lineage) on GBA, Phantasia on PS1SFCPSP, Tales of Rebirth, Tales of Destiny remake and Directors Cut, Tales of Destiny 2 (not Eternia, which was called ToD II in North America), Tempest, Hearts, and Innocence on original DS, and a couple more. Heck, skits were removed from the English releases of Eternia and Destiny, and half of Legendia was unvoiced in English. EDIT: just though of another RPG that didnt make it to my knowledge.
